Would a hpt give u a bfp 18 days after 'The deed'?

ok so if i had on the 31jan/1st feb, surely i would have a positive by now if i were pregnant? also, my period hasnt come but this could be due to late m/c on 18th jan. when shud i expect a period after a late loss? x
