Does anyone else think hamsters are fab pets??

I have a 1 year old male syrian who I adore! im not a child, or a teenager but a married women in my 20's. But he is the most adorable, funniest pet ever. I was always a cat lover ( owner of two siamese toms for 16 years) but even though hamsters are much smaller they still bring a family so much pleasure. What do you guys think?
